Govt to form judicial commission for Bugti murder.

QUETTA: The federal government has decided to form a judicial commission to probe the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti, Express 24/7 reported on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, speaking to the media after a special cabinet meeting in Quetta, said the judicial commission will be formed within a week. The government will write a letter to the chief justice for the appointment of the commission’s head.


The prime minister said that the government will mobilise all resources to address grievances of the people of Balochistan.

He said the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package was a step towards eliminating a sense of deprivation from the province.

The prime minister blamed extremists for being the main cause of the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.

Gilani and most of his cabinet members arrived in Quetta on Tuesday for a two-day visit to discuss Balochistan’s issues.

He had earlier reiterated his offer of holding talks and negotiations with Baloch nationalists, saying the nationalists should convey their concerns to the government as it is ready to address their reservation
